Leadership in Logistics Education Award
In 2012 the Logistics Association of Australia announced Phillip Slater as that year’s winner of the Kim Rothwell Leadership in Logistics Education Award. Phillip Slater is a spare parts management specialist, consultant, author, and Founder of SparePartsKnowHow.com. Kim Rothwell, is a life member of the association and presented the award.
The LAA Leadership in Logistics Awards are presented to companies and individuals for outstanding leadership contribution to logistics and supply chain continuing professional development – education, training and networking, excellence in innovation, participation, continuous improvement and change management to the industry. The LAA seeks to encourage, support and recognize excellence in the logistics and supply chain management profession in Australia.
The Kim Rothwell Leadership in Logistics Education Award is the award for excellence in the development and provision of education and training within the logistics and supply chain industry.
Phillip Slater is a global thought-leader on the engineering supply chain and specifically, engineering spare parts inventory management and optimization. Phillip has also been a leader in the application of digital technology to help educate people on supply chain and inventory management issues and solutions. He is the Founder of the website SparePartsKnowHow.com.
This is the only time that an individual, rather than an organization, has won the award.
